NXT New Year's Evil, AEW New Year's Smash analysis

NXT and AEW started 2021 with a bang by providing two special episodes of their Wednesday night shows. Host Adam Silverstein explains why AEW offered the match of the night, but NXT delivered the better show top-to-bottom with both brands offering early match of the year contenders. "The Silver King" begins with NXT New Year's Evil [5:20], discussing the brutal rematch between Finn Balor and Kyle O'Reilly, a remarkable battle between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Gonzalez and another great showing from Damian Priest, who lifted Karrion Kross.
