S1x11 - "The Whole Nice Guy Thing is Wearing Kinda Thin"

Though the old saying goes "all Peyton and no Brooke make Lucas a shitty boyfriend," in this week's episode Lucas is everywhere Peyton is: raking his way through her kitchen in the morning, reading while she draws in the library, and butting in on father-daughter time with Papa Peyton, while Brooke grows increasingly insecure over their lack of emotional connection. Meanwhile, Nathan takes a break from basketball to get Haley drunk at the beach while Dan and Deb go to counseling in hopes of saving the wreckage that is their entire life together.  Brooke strips to vintage Maroon 5, Haley blows chunks in Dan's lap, Peyton bonds with her father, Baby Jenny sucks on dirty ass keys, and Dan, the eternal narcissist and all around demon from hell, has an actual fatherly moment with Nathan in the end. Though not our *favorite* episode, we sure did have a lot to say about it in between rants about Lucas' poor behavior and bad choice of tattoo (#yabasic).
