Rockshow Episode 190 Pixies

The Pixies, an American alternative rock band, formed in Boston in 1986. Comprising Black Francis (vocals, guitar), Joey Santiago (guitar), Kim Deal (bass, vocals), and David Lovering (drums), they gained prominence with their unique blend of punk, surf rock, and surreal lyrics. Albums like “Surfer Rosa” (1988) and “Doolittle” (1989) solidified their influence on the ’80s and ’90s alternative scene. Internal tensions led to a hiatus in 1993, but they reunited in 2004, continuing to release music and tour. The Pixies remain revered for their impact on alternative music.
