RockerMike and Rob Presents: The Fireflies

The Fireflies were a doo-wop music group from the United States that formed in 1953. They gained popularity in the 1950s with their signature song "You Were Mine," which reached the top 20 Billboard charts in 1959. The group's tight harmonies and catchy melodies helped define the doo-wop sound and left a lasting impact on the genre. Despite lineup changes over the years, the Fireflies continued to perform and record music throughout the 1960s and beyond. The Fireflies were an American doo-wop group from Long Island, New York, from the late 1950s to early 1960s. They were one of the first groups in which all band members both sang and played instruments. In addition, they were the first all-white vocal harmonizing group to appear at The Apollo Theater.
