Dennis is the author of 16 books, most notable of which is Report from Engine Co. 82, a story of his career as a firefighter with the New York City Fire Department in a South Bronx from the late 1960s and into the 1970s. He served for 18 years as a New York City firefighter from 1963 to 1981. In 1976, He founded Firehouse magazine and also was the founding chairman of the New York City Fire Museum on Spring Street. He was a trustee of the New York Fire Foundation and the New York Police & Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund. The list goes on and on...You don’t want to miss this one.
