Department of Community Housing and Development's Director of Office of Statewide Broadband, Kenrick Gordon joins Maryland REALTORS® CEO, Chuck Kasky to discuss the impact of the lack of broadband internet access to millions of Americans. Despite being a small state and the fifth most densely populated in the nation, the best estimate—and it’s really only a guess—is that 425,000 Marylanders lack broadband service.

REALTORS® that serves communities throughout the state are also faced with issues when showing homes in areas with zero to low broadband access. With low inventory and a new work and learn from home culture the internet has become an essential requirement for majority of citizens. Learn how Kenrick and the Office of Statewide Broadband are tackling these infrastructure issues leveraging the public and private sectors to provide equitable solutions for Marylanders across the state.
