On this episode of Get Checkered, Canadian Formula One Fans, Shanika (@shanabeysinghe) and Caitlin (@caconne), share their thoughts on the Turkish Grand Prix held at the Istanbul Park Circuit. This is a loaded episode - full of weekly updates, track facts, qualification highlights, race day overview, and a rundown of the post-race interviews. There was a drizzle of rain throughout the whole race, and there were several different tyre strategies attempted (not all of them deemed very "successful"). We heard a strong difference of opinion between Lewis and the Mercedes team, and the question of "should Lewis just have stayed out? Did he really need to change his tyres?" will be a point of discussion for several days. On the other side of the Mercedes garage, pure joy as Valtteri finally reached his 10th Grand Prix victory after a wonderful drive the whole day, and we have the two bulls to round up the podium.
