It's been a while since we've talked about Nutanix but they're back in the news with a big rumor. The market is abuzz with reports that HPE is looking to acquire the leader in hyperconverged infrastructure. The two companies are already partnered together for HPE Greenlake infrastructure-as-a-service which lends credence to the reports. Nutanix ousted founder and former CEO Dheeraj Pandey almost two years ago and has been coasting along ever since. A report from Seeking Alpha says that Nutanix had an operating loss in Q1 due to SG&A expenses being 65% of revenues. The same report values the potential acquisition in the neighborhood of $8 billion. Are we about to see the end of Nutanix's dominance in the HCI space they helped create? This and more on the Rundown.
