Over the past few years, we’ve been witness to numerous police killings of unarmed women and men of color. At the same time—from New York City, to Ferguson, Albuquerque and San Francisco—community has stood up against police violence. Sunday, we’re joined by Equipto one of the #Frisco5 activist who recently ended 17-day hunger strike against police violence and racism in San Francisco. We discuss the hunger strike and what led up to it.
We’re also joined by advocate Ane Romero to discuss Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s history and how to get involved.
