Simon Okelo was born and raised in Kisumu, Kenya. He lives in Seattle and travels back to Kenya, where he supports youth realize their potential through music and art, and works for other non-profit organizations operating in Africa. Simon is the founder of One Vibe Africa dedicated to using the arts to positively impact the lives of youth in Kenya and in Seattle. One Vibe has also made Madaraka Festival a cultural institution in the Seattle arts community.
