In this episode of Geek Cinema Society, David Luzader, Nicole Davis, and their guest, Justin Zenger, delve into 1995’s ‘Judge Dredd.’

Based on the character from the dystopian British comic “2000 A.D.,” Judge Dredd was an odd mishmash of a movie that was true to the look of the original and a few of the plot points, but had the spirit of a Stallone action vehicle, with a rather unfortunate sprinkling of Rob Schneider thrown in for the hell of it. Join David, Nicole, and guest Justin Zenger as we explore such topics as What is Max Von Sydow doing in this film? Is it possible for Armand Assante to out-overact Stallone? Why would you put Diane Lane in this movie and give her nothing to do? Why must fascism look so stylish?

For listeners who would like to follow along and treat Geek Cinema Society as a film club of sorts, we will be watching ‘Masters of the Universe’ next! Following that, we’ll be watching ‘Die Hard.’ Brett Stewart will return next week.
