CJ Albertson was the men's runner-up at the 2021 Grandma's Marathon, but he may be best-known for his performance a few months later at the 2021 Boston Marathon.

Albertson went to the lead at record pace for the first 20 miles of Boston, but he was eventually caught by the pack and ended up finishing 10th on the day.

He joins the Gearing Up for Grandma's podcast to discuss his unique approach to road racing, as well as intent to run both Boston and Grandma's again in 2022.
