1020 - ENCORE-Add San Miguel de Allende to Your Bucket List

Welcome to Gay Travel Today! I’m Teraj and I’ll be your guide as we explore, engage and indulge in the world of LGBTQ+ travel today.

I’ve got another destination for you to add to your travel bucket list. Have you thought about traveling to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico? If you’re up for baroque spanish architecture, rich culture and history and beautiful sights around every rustic corner, this destination is the one for you. Go to Juarez Park where the street lamps illuminate the trees and mariachi bands can be found performing classic songs. Right around the corner is the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, a 17th century church that is an exemplary example of baroque spanish architecture. If you’re looking to get in touch with the tastes of San Miguel, check out the Market where you can purchase some delicious traditional dishes, spices and fresh vegetables and fruits. Also check out the Vinicola Toyan Winery, where you descend 45 feet below the ground in a cave where you are met with an array of in-house wines being fermented beneath the city.
