For the Glory of Podcast-kind!

This week we  discuss NieR: Automata, the 2017 Action JRPG from the visionary mind of director Yoko Taro and PlatinumGames that has us a bit divided!

The game tells a rich story about a post-apocalyptic future where sexy battle androids are still fighting in the name of their ancient human creators. The game explores themes of identity, humanism, and philosophy through a really non-conventional gameplay experience that some consider a gaming masterpiece.

But what exactly is a "masterpiece"? What makes a game, or any piece of art in any medium, stand out amongst the rest. Does this game fit the bill for us? Let's discuss!
.
.
Also , we share our early thoughts on the Animal Crossing 2.0 update, which we'll be discussing at LENGTH in a couple weeks in our upcoming anniversary episode! If you'd like to share some thoughts about Animal Crossing New Horizons, write to us or send us a voice recording of your favorite ACNH memories, what the game means to you, etc., and we'll include you in the episode!
