Hey squirrel-friends! It’s Pride 2021! And we’re kicking the month off with an HISTORIC crossover event. This week, we’re joined by Rawlins & Sam, hosts of the brilliant podcast Rawlins and Sam Watch Too Much TV, to talk about Nintendo’s queerest AND most TV-centric console: the Nintendo Wii U!

We talk about why we love this dear little flop of a console, how it in many ways served as a prototype/precursor to its much more lucrative successor- the Nintendo Switch, and how despite being a commercial failure, it delivered some iconic gaming moments!

ALSO, since we four are all trainéd actors, in Too Much TV-fashion we simply HAD to deliver you some acting MOMENTS, so we pulled some of the most eccentric and esoteric Wii U ads & press conferences we could find and metamorphosed them into haute audio theatre through the power of acting.

It’s a wild-one y’all, and Wii hope U join us along for the ride as we transport you back in time 10 years to Nintendo’s most beautiful flop-era.
