In this episode, I speak with Shalaka Verma, Director of Microsoft about the kind of future we can see with quantum computing. She was previously a guest on my COVID-19 Special series: “What’s Next for AI” and wanted to get her back on the show.

The use cases for quantum computing are vast, ranging from agriculture, medical, finance, etc but still, the technology can be only used on a small scale as the results still need to be validated by quantum simulators. However, the future is promising as many of the ambiguities in science can be potentially solved with much more accuracy than the present.

Here is what you will understand in the episode;

What is Quantum ComputingWhat Does it Solve and the Future ApplicationsHow Businesses Needs to Quantum Proof Their Data Encryption Can Quantum Computing Help with Developing General AIPhilosophy of Quantum Physics

Shalaka Verma leads a team of Global Cloud Solution Architects to drive the development of differentiated industry-aligned solutions on Microsoft Cloud and Services around it.

She also leads the Azure Quantum adoption within Microsoft partner ecosystem to develop early use cases and PoCs.
Previously she drove Technology Sales Strategy Transformation towards the next-gen at IBM. Delivered several first of its kind wins for IBM across Data and AI platforms, Hybrid Cloud, and DR/BC Strategies. Chosen to be the first Quantum Ambassador for IBM in the ISA region.
