Si & Veronica phone a friend, Melissa, for a super informative episode 107! If Melissa sounds familiar, it is because she was a guest on Episode 69 and now she is coming to us from NYC, where she was sent to work as a nurse in the epicenter of the US coronavirus breakout. With “Tiger King” and big cats being on the brain, the news broke that a tiger in the Bronx Zoo contracted COVID-19. Quarantine could make or break some relationships, and for newly single Lana Del Rey it may make some new sad girl bops. Our favorite IG Live from this past week was the match-up between Lil Jon and T-Pain that was the perfect social distancing concert. Some influencers and celebs have been under fire for how they have been treating the pandemic with their ~content~ and privilege. Vee went “Yikes!” to white women trying to claim the internet’s usage of “Karen” as a racist and classist slur. We had a bunch of questions for Melissa about what it is like on the frontline of caring for folks with this virus, her take on social distancing measures and testing, and how her life has been affected by the pandemic.
