This week’s guest is Mina Elwell, the writer of InferNoct, a new series from Scout Comics that just debuted this week.  It’s a moody, Lovecraftian mini-series that really gets under your skin.  The comic follows Sam, a young girl starting a new job as an in-house nurse for an elderly man.  Things start out a little weird at first and only get stranger as the comic goes on, leading to some pretty crazy reveals in the first issue alone.

Mina can be found online on Twitter at @MinaElwell.  InferNoct can be found on Twitter at @InferNoct_Comic and on Facebook and Instagram at @Infernoct.

This week’s episode is also brought to you by Mutiny, the new horror film that follows Christina, a young reporter who struggles with anxiety, that discovers a virus that causes the infected to harm themselves in violent, and sometimes fatal ways. As Christina's boss pressures her to scrap the story, she starts to see signs of the virus all around her. Now, she must decide whether the real danger is out there or in her mind. If you're into body horror and social satire, this is the movie for you.  Plus, if you’re a fan of The Kill Screen from previous Funny Book Splatter guest, Mike Garley, this will be right up your alley.  I love how the wonders of modern technology have led to a whole new breed of horror story.

The crowdfunding campaign for Mutiny launches today (October 20th), where your contribution can get you exclusive content, a pre-screening of the film, and even a walk on role on set! Join Mutiny on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook at @MutinyTheFilm to find out how you can get involved and help bring this project to life.

In other news, a quick update for you.  My very first Funny Book Splatter guest, Dirk Manning has just launched a Kickstarter campaign for Tales of Mr. Rhee: Volume 4. Everything Burns.  The campaign met its funding goal in under four hours and is already plowing through stretch goals.  Dirk always overdelivers on his Kickstarter campaigns including extra comics, prints, and more.  In other news, Heavenly Blues from previous guest Ben Kahn has been optioned by 51 Minds to be turned into a feature film.  As a reminder, Heavenly Blues is basically Ocean’s Eleven in Hell.  This is some great news for Ben and I can’t wait to see how the movie turns out.
