Previous Episode: 031: Russell Hillman
Next Episode: 033: Mike Garley

This week’s guest is Garth Matthams, the writer of Witch Creek Road.  This comic is yet another reason to stay out of the woods.  It follows a group of kids who head out into the wilderness for a night of debauchery only to find demons and death.

Garth is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to fund the printing of the second issue.  I’ve backed the campaign and I strongly encourage you to do the same.  I got a glimpse at this new issue and it just might be scarier than the first, which is saying something.  Entry level for this Kickstarter is one dollar...Canadian.  I don’t even know what they use for money in Canada...Hockey pucks?  That gets you the full 32 page issue as a PDF.  That’s a total no-brainer for a great horror comic.

If you’re somehow still on the fence, you can check out a black-and-white version of the first issue for free on Tapas or Webtoons.  Trust me though, it’s worth the dollar.

Garth can be found online at his official website, ReleasingTheSerpents.com.

I want to give a few quick updates on some stuff coming from past guests.  At the time of this episode’s release, you have a few hours left to back Transdimensional #2 on Kickstarter, written by Michael Gordon who was a very early guest on the show.  If you missed the Kickstarter campaign for Sink, the first issue just hit comic shops this week.  That’s written by John Lees, another early guest.  You may have to look hard for it because the book has been selling out all over the place.  Lastly, as a reminder, Glitterbomb: The Fame Game debuts next week on September 20th, written by past guest, Jim Zub.
