The Sun (UK) has a good livestream over on YouTube at the moment of the nighttime lava flow bursting forth from the volcano eruption at La Palma, Canary Islands: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ8KAUQFzKU

La Palma’s volcanic eruption is now in day 16, with thousands of homes on the Island destroyed by the unexpected lava flow.

This is the first major volcanic eruption at La Palma since 1971, as we reported previously, and this strong volcanic activity has sparked rumors that part of the island could break away and fall into the Atlantic Ocean, causing a trans-Atlantic super tsunami capable of wiping out coastal North American cities.

Although theoretically possible, the odds of such an event occurring during our lifetimes remain low, as many factors would have to occur in unison for the conditions where a ‘super’ tsunami could threaten cities thousands of miles from La Palma.
