Episode 133: Jen Du Plessis, Staying true to your core values while achieving success

This weeks guest is Jen Du Plessis. She began her long career in mortgage lending while in high school and continued to work through college. In the last 30+ years, she has been a delegated underwriter for the FHA, Veterans Administration, and both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. For the past 16 years, she has been the Principal of The Kirney Team, working with her husband Brian (for the past 15 years) and Son Kirk (for the past 7 years).
She has been featured in such publications as The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post, and on Good Morning America, Sirius/XM Radio and Federal News Radio; and with speaking engagements at George Washington University as well as several Networking organizations in the Metro area, mortgage industry and non-specific industries as well. She and her team were named in the Top 200 Loan Originators in the US in 2012.
In her workshops and training sessions she shares strategies she has applied in reaching her own goals ; while maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Through her group and personal coaching, she advises and guides her clients based on personal goals and abilities.
she and her husband have lived in Virginia for 25 years. She is active in her church, loves taking short weekend trips to visit small towns, and large cities. Often you will find her on her property either picking wild berries to make jams/jellies, decorating, or target shooting. She is an avid reader, ballroom dancer, baker, traveler, boater, philanthropist and wine connoisseur.
