Did Nike make the right move cancelling the limited edition Betsy Ross flag shoes over Colin Kaepernick's concerns they'd make some people 'uncomfortable' - because there was slavery in America when the flag was created? How far will this campaign against history go and does it have merit? And what does the Fonz have to do with it? Steven Kerzner & Ishat Reza bring you a digital donnybrook from both sides of the issue!

Colin Kaepernick says they might have made some people 'uncomfortable' - Nike shoes with the original US flag - because the flag was made when the US still had slavery. And because it's been picked up as a symbol by some small cells of White Supremacists, a fact virtually nobody knew. So Nike pulled the shoes.

Right decision, being sensitive to descendants of slaves & people of colour? Pandering by Nike to seem like heroes to Black people and sell them more of their umpteen other sneakers? Further example of Americans running from their history instead of dealing with it? Another victory for a world being wrapped in politically-correct Nerf?

Steven Kerzner (political commentator, reformed political candidate, TV writer & satirist) and Ishat Reza (smart, plain-spoken, Harvard & McGill educated speaker on history politics and race) go toe-to-toe...okay, bad pun when talking about shoes. And somehow, "The Fonz" becomes part of the discussion. Only on The NO BULLPen on FU_Politics!
