Research into dementia is at a breakthrough point, signalling the moment in history that people will look back on and say that "this is the moment when everything changed". This was the positive message delivered by Dr Richard Oakley, associate director of research at Alzheimer's Society, speaking to editor Simoney Kyriakou on the latest FTAdviser podcast.

He was joined by guests Yvonne Braun, director, long-term savings, health and protection, at the Association of British Insurers; and Rose St Louis, protection director at Loyds Banking Group and Board member of Insurance United against Dementia, who opened up about the lived experience of her family when her mother was given a devastating diagnosis of dementia.
