Next Episode: US Open review with Dan DeRosalia
A week ago, three Mets players were embroiled in controversy for their thumbs-down gesture to mock their own fans. Two of those players involved -- Javier Baez and Francisco Lindor -- led the team to seven straight wins to jump back into the NL East race. The Yankees went from a 13-game winning streak to 2-6 in their last eight games. The slump seemingly has ended any chance they had to catch first-place Tampa Bay. Over at the US Open, teenagers are making a splash and upsets have been happening, as Naomi Osaka and Ashleigh Barty both were eliminated.
