With his bands the tiny quartet the mass band and the Donal Gunne band he not only explores a huge range of musical styles but also has a rare and unique voice that can inhabit these in a natural and musical way that is none more evident than from his band Tucan who upon until their unfortunate recent long term hiatus (hopefully they will be back)! blazed a trail for Irish independent artists.
