On this episode of From the Ground Up Podcast, I sit down with Tyler Rathke. Tyler is the head track coach at William Chrisman High School, he is also involved in strength and conditioning at the school. We discuss a variety of topics on the episode. We start by analyzing the foundational principles that he utilizes to build an effective base with his population. We then discuss how that foundation moves or advances over time. We discuss his usage of unilateral exercises and how he views movement and the creation of dynamic movers as a top priority within his programming. We end by examining the role of an effective warm up and the different neural perspectives that can be applied to an effective warmup and/or athletic session.
