Episode 22 of From Sumplace New takes the podcast into the mystical realm when Jon shares his profound experience during our visit to the ancient Maya ruins at Chichén Itzá in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. It was moving for both of us, but Jon had a totally different vibe, literally. After sharing what happened with our guide, Jon asked about the "sky people" and the next hour and forty minutes were filled with ancestral stories about the supernatural essence of Chichén Itzá. It's a day we'll never forget, and we look forward to visiting again. It's a must! We also discuss our upcoming travel itinerary that takes us from Bariloche, Argentina, to Edinburgh, Scotland. We leave Monday morning at 10 am and arrive in Scotland at 6 pm on Thursday. Here's the deal: 19 hours in a car, 24 hour layover in Buenos Aires, 13.5 hour flight to Amsterdam, 13 hour layover, 2 hour flight to Edinburgh. It's going to be an epic journey!
