From Fear to Fire: Secrets to Overcome Fear, Embrace your Gifts and Achieve Success

This is the place where real people share real challenges. Where you can find a common bond and uncommon wisdom through their stories. Use tips from the breakthroughs of others to jump start your success. Speaker, author, adventurer, and host Heather Hansen O’Neill takes you on the journey from fear to fire. Today we talk about the nonprofit world, marketing, and decision making overall.

This week’s theme: Decision Making

Whether you are an entrepreneur or an employee. Whether you are asking for a raise, asking for the sale, or asking for a date, there are certain decisions and actions that need to take place to ensure success. What about asking for donations to ensure a nonprofit can make a real difference in the world? YES. Over the past several years, The Bigham Agency has raised over $2.2 Billion to feed the hungry, house the homeless, clothe the naked, and heal the sick . . . which is no small feat. Our guest expert shares his process for decision making and more on today’s show.

E. Paul Bigham

is president of Alliance Advisory Group, Bigham Agency, Inc., and Bigham Academy, Inc. These are a group of professional services and consultancy companies. His firms specialize in omni-channel commercial and nonprofit marketing, direct mail, online/interactive, social media, and digital communications. His firms also provide professional presentation platforms and advisory services for authors, speakers, entrepreneurs, and founders.

Along with founding his Dallas, Texas consultancies, Paul has served a number of senior level positions on both the client and agency side.  His experiences include strategic planning, copy and artistic design, media buying, constituency development, program and content creation, lead generation, reactivation programs, and professional development.

Education

As a lifetime learner with insatiable curiosity, Paul earned his BBA and MBA from SMU in Dallas and his law studies through Texas A&M School of Law.  His consultancy group has received numerous national awards for creative work, as well as the respect and loyalty of its organizational partners for the value creation, leadership, and relationships delivered on a consistent and reliable basis.

Giving

During his career as a professional marketer, Paul has held the positions of Vice President and Senior Vice President for two national advertising agencies, as well as Executive Vice President for Coral Ridge Ministries and leadership for D.J. Kennedy’s four other ministries.

Paul’s underlying principles are to change lives for the better through creating reliable returns for stakeholders and resource partners.  In doing so, Paul and his company has raised over $2.2 billion in international aid to feed the hungry, house the homeless, clothe the naked, and heal the sick.

Teaching

Additionally, Paul is a current Professor Marketing at the University of Texas at Dallas teaching Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Professional Development.  Previously, Paul taught Retail and Communications Design at SMU.
