Welcome back to FRIGHT SCHOOL! We have missed you Dear Listener! Thank you all again for the kind words of concern. In the most wise words of Guru Alanis, "Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you when you think everything's okay..." Hopefully, things stay okay for a while. Joe took in Bo Burnham INSIDE on NETFLIX. Joshua has been obsessing over WHY WOMEN KILL and also the show. We chat quickly about Drag Race All Stars season 106 or whatever number it is.... Pride month is coming (cough cough) to an end and Book Riot has some great suggestions for Queer Horror books including THE ROUTE OF ICE & SALT by José Luis Zárate about the doomed Demeter travelling from Transylvania to England with a very famous vampire on board! This week we kick off our summer session with THE HILLS HAVE EYES written and directed by Wes Craven! The film has its origins in fairy tales like Hansel and Gretel and the dubious myth of Sawney Bean, the patriarch of a clan of Scottish cannibals. We discuss the varying interpretations and themes of the film including the Urbanoia apparent in the clashing of city and country dwellers, Judeo-Christian hypocrisy, and the mirrored monstrosity of the savage and civilized. Put on your reading glasses because these hills done already done have eyeseses.... Happy Pride!

We popped up on EVERY MONTH MADNESS to discuss Queer Coded Cartoon characters. Part 2 is available NOW!
