On this episode of the Friends in Beauty podcast I welcome Allison Doss to the Friends in Beauty guest chair! Allison started her hair career just 5 years ago, at the age of 42, proving it is never too late and you’re never too old to pivot and try something new and be great at it!
Because of her grit, determination and passion, she was chosen to be a Global Educator for her favorite lightening product Blonde Solutions. She has also been nominated and received Blonding awards internationally.
It’s incredibly hard to believe that from the age of 17 until 41 years old, she suffered from alcoholism and drug addiction that resulted in homelessness and a complete loss of integrity, self worth and direction. And although she has been a shining star on her new path of sobriety and professionalism, it didn’t mean that the world would bow down to her expectations. After her husband revealed his acceptance of his gender identity struggle, the long road of heartbreak, acceptance and surrender for Allison began.
She writes about the chaos and healing in her soon-to-be published book THE UNBOSSING. Allison is embarking upon a new journey as a Global Transformational Speaker to share with others how rock bottom can be the solid foundation where you build a new life!
