Round 46 - Trash TV confessions

This week the girls take aim at...Their own trash TV confessions

Bianca kicked us off this week by explaining some psychology around why we humans love trash TV. Essentially there are three types of viewers, guilty pleasure watchers, ironic consumption viewers and those labelled camp sensibility.

Bianca then dived into some of her favourite trashy tv shows being crime procedurals (Law and Order SVU, Criminal minds), reality tv (Jackass, Dudesons) and finally a little known gem Son of the Beach.

Amy then discussed how she is not often the sort of person who enjoys trash tv however there are some exceptions being Passions, Toddlers and Tiaras and Extreme Couponing. She, like the TV she sometimes watches, is utter trash.

Sarah finished us off by confessing her love for a UK TV show called Most Haunted where a group of paranormal investigators visit sites around the UK that may or may not be haunted. Despite one of the main investigators on this show being exposed as a fraud, Sarah still loves the show.
