In which the Mister and I check out EVENT HORIZON (1997), which is streaming on Showtime/Showtime Anytime.  From director Paul W.S. Anderson, with a script from Philip Eisner, the film is set in the not so distant future and the crew of the Lewis & Clark are tasked into investigating the sudden mysterious reappearance of the starship Event Horizon, which had been missing for several years.  Led by Miller (Laurence Fishburne) and Weir (Sam Neill), this chilling sci-fi horror story sees the crew (Kathleen Quinlan, Joely Richardson, Richard T. Jones, Jack Noseworthy, Jason Isaacs and Sean Pertwee) begin to experience disturbing visions as they explore the abandoned ship, while uncovering the secrets of its horrifying journey.  The film clocks in at 1 h 36 m and is rated R.  Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
