The guest for this episode is Toronto hip-hop legend Choclair. Now this is a bucket list interview for me. The Toronto hip-hop scene that came from the late 1990s which also included Kardinal Offishall, Saukrates, and Maestro Fresh Wes, among many others, is so personally special to me. As someone who has frequented Toronto throughout my life, its like a second home to me. My goal is to get all those names I just named on this podcast and we are one down with Choclair.



During our conversation, we reminisce about the Toronto hip-hop scene from the 90s, along with breaking down his career during albums like 1999's Ice Cold, 2002's Memoirs of Blake Savage. We also get into the lessons he's learned over the years in his storied music career, his beginnings in music, the aesthetics of Toronto as a city and its artistry, and so much more!
