WICIP, concebida por Angela Prudenzi y Federico Spoletti y producida por L’Age d’Or, tiene como principal objetivo atraer la atención de las instituciones, el mundo de la cultura, el entretenimiento y el público hacia el talento femenino en el cine y promover el empoderamiento de la mujer.
WICIP actualmente hace uso de la colaboración de 12 países. Las películas se proyectarán en más de 20 lugares diferentes y estarán disponibles en francés, inglés, portugués, eslovaco y español. Son 5 los títulos elegidos para WICIP 2022: Being my mom de Jasmine Trinca, Corpo a corpo de Maria Iovine, Faith de Valentina Pedicini, La ragazza ha volato de Wilma Labate, Le sorelle Macaluso de Emma Dante.
