From Finance Analyst to Founder: An Interview with Patrick DePeters

In this episode of Four of a Kind Podcast, Michelle and Kelcy interview Patrick DePeters. 

We talk with Pat about how he made the transition from investment banking analyst to CFO to founding his first company.   Pat tells us about the letter he wrote his parents asking them to "hold him accountable" to his dream of becoming an entrepreneur.  He also shares some great advice on how to think about building a transferable skill set, and how to get up the learning curve for new skills quickly.

Pat is the Founder and CEO of Owl Ridge Group, a boutique consultancy and venture investment company, working with startup and growth stage companies. Prior to founding Owl Ridge Group, Pat was the CFO of several startup companies, including BondIt Media Capital, a specialty lender to film and media industry, and Buffalo 8, a media production company. Pat started his career in investment banking, working for MUFG in both New York and London.
