On this week's special Pledge Drive edition of Truth to Power, we bring you a delightful community conversation with members of Forward Radio’s proud community partner, the Urban Agriculture Coalition! Getting their hands dirty with your host, Justin Mog (Sustainability Now!) are Doug Lowry, Bethany Pratt, Leticia Marshall, and Isaac Fosl-Van Wyke. We chew over spring gardening, the Urban Ag Seeding Drive, vacant lot access and the Louisville Metro Land Development Code reform process, and community gardens.

The Food In Neighborhoods (FIN) Community Coalition will be hosting a Community RoundTable on Tuesday, April 13th from 5:30 – 7:00PM via Zoom. The topic will be ”How can we address the food apartheid in Louisville?" As more people awaken to the systemic problems of food insecurity, racism, economic injustice, and environmental destruction, we awaken also to the power we can build when we link our struggles and build toward common goals. FIN works to strengthen the local food system through urban agriculture, community land access, and policy advocacy. We understand our work in the context of broader projects of food, land, and racial justice. At this community roundtable, we hope to collaborate with you to distill a clear and bold vision for transforming Louisville’s food system. Please join us in envisioning strategies around food and agriculture that help build a more equitable, just and sustainable Louisville. RSVP at http://tinyurl.com/FINboldvision2021
