Let's talk about real solutions to climate change. What we get in the corporate media is often a distraction from the real issues. We hear about carbon, but that's only a symptom of deeper problems, including ecological problems and how we choose to govern.

The ecological problems include what we're doing to the land, when we remove plant matter and we thereby remove the earth's ability to regulate weather and climate.

We hear endlessly about the need to eliminate "animal agriculture" and move to a "plant-based diet." But this is a distraction from the real problems with our food systems. Our food systems need to mimic ecosystems but they do not.

And we need to get more of our food locally. But we don't hear any serious proposals for making that happen.

In this episode, we talk about local food systems, animal agriculture and what is really causing the droughts in California.
