On March 28th, UofL’s Anne Braden Institute for Social Justice Research hosted a film screening of the documentary "From the Hood to the Holler: Charles Booker’s Movement to Unite America.” It was followed by a talkback with Charles Booker himself. Charles Booker most recently ran for U.S. Senate in Kentucky during the November 2022 elections and now leads the Governor's Office of Faith Based Initiatives and Community Involvement.
