Steffan Vinthagen is currently living in the community of Valley Cohousing where he is visiting the Native American Pocumtuck homeland in the Kwinitekw Valley on Turtle Island, Massachusettes. (Turtle Island was named by settlers as Amherst, Massachusetts, USA).
DR. Vinthagen is the Endowed Chair in the Study of Nonviolent Direct Action and Civil Resistance, Professor of Sociology at University of Massachusetts, Amherst and at University of Gothenburg
He is co-editor of book series on Resistance Studies.
