Solutions to Violence features Thomas H. (Ben) Suitt, III. Ben Suitt is a graduate of Boston University and the author of “Finding Resonance amid Trauma.” Dr. Suitt is the author of Narratives of Trauma and Moral Agency Among Christian Post-9/11 Veterans (Springer Nature Switzerland Publishing, 2023) and Finding Resonance Amid Trauma: Moral Injury and the Role of Religion Among Christian Post-9/11 U.S. Veterans (2021). A graduate of Boston University, Dr. Suitt’s research investigates the role of religion in the lives of U.S. military veterans as they navigate between competing identities and cultures amid the disruptive experiences of war and trauma. His current research places religion in conversation with military ethics and the use of force, moral injury, sociology of morality, and Christian moral thought. Suitt resides with his family in Franklin, TN where he teaches English at Franklin Road Academy.
