For this show, Patty interviews Dr. Andreas Elpidorou, a UofL colleague and professor in the Department of Philosophy. Andreas is the author of the new book "Propelled: How Boredom, Frustration and Anticipation Lead Us to the Good Life." They talk about the ways in which his book asks us to think of boredom, frustration and anticipation as not only instructive to us as individuals--but necessary (!) to helping us fashion a life worth living and navigating everyday situations and choices. Brian sends in some philosophy-heavy questions for Andreas and they gain some new insights into the questions at the heart existentialism that also help us live a good life. Hone your own thinking about "the good life" by listening to this episode.
