Critical thinkers, this week's show takes you through the highlights and strategies from UofL's brand new Citizen Literacy Toolkit. (linked below) This is an awesome, easy to use online toolkit that promotes the development of key information skills for being an informed, savvy citizen and critical thinker in your digital habits. We get into the basics of "algorithmic literacy" and how your online habits are tracked and used to keep you in an "information bubble.' (and what you can do about it) We look at some great tips for "lateral reading" online and how to be savvy when reviewing and sharing online content. We talk about how to evaluate online "experts" and the difference between misinformation and disinformation!
