What is your role? Associate Editor at Golf Channel

How long have you been at your company?

It will be one year on January 2nd, 2020.

How do you define success?

I define success by doing what’s possible, as I was taught by my golf coach at Arkansas, Shauna Estes-Taylor. She always taught us that everyone does what’s on their to-do list, but it’s the people who go above and beyond, do everything possible, who are most successful in life. I do my best to strive towards that on a daily basis.

What was your biggest success of 2019 and why?

Getting this job at Golf Channel was the best “kick off” to 2019 I could have imagined. Golf Channel is headquartered here in my hometown of Orlando, and it was always a dream for me to work here when I was growing up in the city. So, to get the opportunity to work along the best in the business is a dream come true for me every single day.

On top of that, I got to cover Tiger winning the Masters, winning his 82nd PGA Tour win, tying the all-time record … I can’t think of a better year to join the team at Golf Channel than 2019! It was truly a year I will never forget.

What do you hope to accomplish personally or professionally in 2020?

I have always said that I strive to be 1% better every day, but I haven’t done my very best at that this year, or in the past few years. Toward the end of 2019 I have gotten really, really honest with myself about what I need to do to “level up” in my life – whether that be in relationships, professionally, personally, everything! – and now I feel more prepared than ever to take the bull by the horns and commit to doing everything it takes to be the very best version of myself every day I wake up.
