Meet the Ladies of Golf.

As we close in on 2019, Fore the Ladies will be featuring some of our favorite leading Ladies of Golf and their accomplishments from the year. We’re honored to celebrate their successes and look forward what’s to come from each of them in 2020.

To kick off the Ladies of Golf series, we’re checking in with Emily Farrell, PGA Professional, Founder and CEO of the new Abendroth Golf brand. Follow the brand on Instagram.

According to her site, Abendroth Golf is a women’s apparel brand focused on delivering superior performance and high quality products that look professional, fit femininely and provide function on and off the course. They are women-owned, golf focused and professionally feminine.

Emily had experienced many frustrations while trying to find golf clothes that were professional and feminine to wear on the course. She worked at high-end private clubs, where there was a specific dress code, but most of the options available were either very traditional or too short for dress code policies. Additionally, she spent eight years working a corporate job, while keeping her PGA status, searching for professional apparel to wear on and off the course.

How long have you been at your company?

Less than one year.

How do you define success?

Finding purpose in my life both personally and professionally, that allows me to build positive relationships, help others and always strive to never settle.

What is your biggest success of 2019 and why?

I recently read an article on Tilman Fertitta on his 95:5 rule. It basically says that the most successful companies are successful at about 95 percent of what they do. The remaining 5 percent is what sets them apart from other businesses. In 2019, I've tried to focus on each of the small steps along the way, rather than focusing on the bigger "success" moments. By taking care of the small steps, I hope that eventually, those smaller achievements will eventually add up.

What do you hope to accomplish personally or professionally in 2020?

I'm hoping to have a successful launch in March and I hope to continue to meet new people and grow our reach with the Peggy Pant!
