Forbidden Cinema 48 - Weekend at Bernie’s

Welcome back to Forbidden Cinema, Spring Break Edition.  This week we tackle Weekend at Bernie's from 1989.  This is a movie that Zack saw in his friend's rec room at 10 or 11 years old, had on VHS, and spent many hours hoping his parent's never took the time to watch it to see what was in it.  This is one of those PG-13 movies from the 80s with content not catering to children, but jokes that nobody with a fully formed brain would not find funny.  But underneath that is one of the best dead-weight slapstick performances of the last 50 years.

We talk about how creepy old white guys still keep ending up infesting our sexy coed beach adventures.  We discuss how this is the first time that Zack ever saw a thong, and try to figure out when Jenny first became aware of them.  We welcome back an unsung hero, Don Calfa, of the Forbidden Bonus Room.  We also wonder why every wacky scene from the trailer is in the last 15 minutes of the movie.
