Vanessa Kirby and Shia LaBeouf deliver extremely moving performances in this powerful look into how a couple deals with incredible loss during a home birth with an unexpected, yet qualified midwife.  with an unedited 25+ minute opening of the home birth and very hard conversations to watch and experience, Netflix delivers what is sure to be one of their greats for years to come.  (8/10)
 
UNCLE FRANK (Amazon)
 
Paul Bettany and Sophia Lillis are Frank and Beth- part of a white southern family in 1973 Rural South Carolina- who travel home for the funeral of Frank's father and Beth grandfather.  Frank confronts memories he thought he'd forgotten or escaped and carries with him the secret of his sexuality tied to the past of growing up in his oppressed house.  Frank's lover, Walid joins them all the while Beth learns more about her family and Uncle and how he grew up, secrets and all. (7/10)
