#031: It’s Just Like French Toast on Rice!

This week Sara and I are in for our ode to Rice Pudding. With French Toast flavored rice pudding in our foresight, we head off to try our hand at mimicking the Fluent In French Toast Rice Pudding at Rice to Riches. We spend some time discussing Sara’s new dog and Michael’s Hanukkah. We analyze hostess snacks that could potentially be more cereal flavors and inevitably have a taste taste of Orange Cupcakes & Twinkies. We watch a buzzfeed video live of a person who tries fruit for the first time, bread crumb substitutes, Chris Hardwick features our show on the community corkboard of the ID10T podcast, and we discuss food trends. Pain Perdu Rice Pudding Grocery list:

7 c whole milk 1 can evaporated milk 1 cup regular long grain rice 2 eggs` ⅓ cup sugar ⅓ cup brown sugar ⅓ cup maple syrup +  3 Tbsp (basically ½ of a ⅓ measuring cup) 1 tsp salt ½ to 1 tsp kosher salt 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 bay leaf 3 Tbsp Butter, Unsalted ½ tsp cinnamon
