How do you define excellence in the workplace? We want to make our ministries, businesses, and departments places of excellence. Excellence honors God and inspires people.    In the 1988 film “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”, there is a scene where the detective bumps the cartoon Roger Rabbit against a hanging lamp. The lamp begins to swing back and forth. The animators went the extra mile, involving hours of work, to make sure that the shadows made by the now swinging lamp were as accurate on the cartoon character as in the live-action.  The catch? Only 2% of the population ever realizes the extra effort made by the animators.   “Bump the Lamp “ has now become a phrase to indicate someone going above and beyond even if it won’t be recognized or appreciated.
