The First Gift

God gives us gifts endlessly. Some are harder to see than others but the first gift He gave us is the gift of Life. We all know that we are supported by our physical, mental, and spiritual health. By following God, we tend to focus on the latter two support systems. Daryl wants to make sure that we don't forget that our body is the only one we have. To neglect this is to neglect God and we want to be fully serving him in everything that we do. How have you lived through God by taking care of your physical body? Do you neglect the physical gifts God gave you? Time to start paying attention! Daryl speaks to the first gift and why he has become a part of the Kingdom Runners crew that started during the Pandemic

Looking at Faith Through the Lens of Athletics

The Bible speaks to us in all forms, not just one. This is why it is so important to understand the word of God because it has many purposes. One of the key points Daryl speaks to in today's interview is looking at the word of God through an athletic lens. For example, Endurance. What does God have to say about enduring our demons, our obstacles, and our struggles to build a better path to him? This is just one example of many found in His word. Have you ever looked at God's teachings through this lens before? I know I haven't. It was eye-opening to learn that we can apply God's word to everything we need to do, and that includes becoming stronger and living our life as long as we can!

Interview Quote

"That is the first gift, the gift of live, the gift of breadth. It is our part to keep this body in the best shape we can. I believe that we need to take care of this body if we want to finish the race strong."
