How can we beat the pride in our lives?   So I've spent some time the past couple of days dealing with pride, first in Micah 6:8 and then in Proverbs 16. But the answer to my pride problem is right here in verse 20.   When we trust in the Lord, the world fits. We take our place in it and we do what he would have us do. It boils down to trusting our selves or trusting God. Trust has been my "word" for 2022. Can I remember to trust the Lord and do what he says? Or will I repeatedly apply my own answers and my own solutions?   Trusting in God puts me right. I experience his joy when I do what he says. Even if I end up in trouble, I can know my faith put me there and I can therefore expect God to act. Does this mean we do silly things? No. But when we choose to listen to ourselves instead of the Lord and his word and his people, we end up either inflating ourselves, or messing everything up.   Today, consider how you might trust the Lord. I begin by asking him to show me what to do. When I know I should do something, I need to act and stop making excuses. Let's ask God to show us how to bless others today. What can we do to serve the people we work with? How can we get outside of our job descriptions so that he might become visible
